Manoj to assist Shankar

Manoj who was caught all joyous and happy at the engagement of his sister Janani Aishwarya has more reasons to be happy now! In spite of his tryst with acting, when it comes to cinema Manoj's passion has always been in direction. Being the son of a veteran director, this is not a surprise. In fact Manoj was Maniratnam's assistant during the making of Bombay. With no intention to pursue his acting career, Manoj has decided to return behind the camera. This time around he will be assistant to Shankar and will hence have the opportunity to work with the Superstar during the making of Robot. This is indeed going to be a great learning experience for the aspiring director in Manoj.
